Welcome! I’m Brandon Burley—a Presbyterian Christian, husband, father, Marine Corps combat veteran, and retired law enforcement detective. Today, I teach criminal justice to the next generation and consult on intelligence-led policing, ethical investigations, and modern law enforcement strategy.
My background includes a Masters in Public Administration, a graduate certificate from UC Louvain in International Law, a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I am a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and I have been published in national publications, as well as I have several technical law enforcement writings. I believe that education should never stop, and I am currently seeking a Masters of Arts in Intelligence, with a concentration in Criminal Intelligence.
I also have advanced certifications in criminal investigations including the Federal Investigations Training Program (at FLETC), Criminal Intelligence Systems, Law Enforcement Intelligence, Money Laundering, Cryptocurrency and Clandestine Lab Investigations, Interview and Interrogation, Human Trafficking (DoD and FLETC), Understanding Human Behavior (FLETC), Death Investigations and many more.
I’ve had the opportunity to serve my community on Patrol, as a K9 Trainer, in Narcotics, Criminal Intelligence, Criminal Investigations and Federally as a National Security- Counter Intelligence Special Agent. I remain deeply committed to strengthening justice through practical, informed solutions and my work has appeared in Police1, and other platforms dedicated to advancing the profession.
I also write fiction thrillers—(not always) grounded in my experience but written to entertain and challenge. From criminal justice curriculum to the SAFEHOUSE series, everything I do is for the Glory of God.
Whether you're here for technical intelligence insights or high-stakes fiction, I’m glad you stopped by.
